This year to commemorate Kristallnacht, we will feature an original based on the life of Teodora Verbitskya and the Two Regimes exhibit. Teodora was living in a small town in present day Ukraine with her husband and two small children- recently relocated as a result of Stalin's oppressive policies. Her moves continued, at times without her husband, as she sought ways to protect and provide for her daughters. Teodora, along with her daughters were caught between Hitler and Stalin ultimately become witnesses to war. Journey with us as we travel with Teodora and her daughters from their forced deportation to German labor camps to their liberation by American soldiers at the end of the war.
